From Drug Repurposing to Personalized Medicine 

Network Medicine aims to create a new approach to biomedical science, combining principles and approaches from systems biology and network science to both understand the causes of human diseases and find and develop new personalized treatments. More specifically, its aim is to systematically explore the molecular complexity of specific diseases to both have a complete biological understanding of molecular pathways and processes, with the ultimate goal to identify molecular relationships between distinct (pathological) phenotypes and offer powerful drug-repurposing strategies.
