As a media scholar primarily focused on sociology, the opportunity to participate in the SoBigData++ TNA program at the Department of Computer Science, University of Sheffield, presented both a formidable challenge and a unique avenue for improving analysis skills. The study of media, and particularly online disinformation, has reached a point where remaining confined within the boundaries of one's own discipline is no longer feasible. The necessity for cross-disciplinary skills has become paramount.

For my SoBigData++ Transnational Access visit, I spent one month in Pisa working on evolutionary game theory and higher-order network science at CNR-ISTI. The main purpose of my TNA experience was to begin a new project studying the emergence of cooperation in group interactions. In this project, the goal is to develop models of temporally evolving group interactions (using hypergraphs) that are changing according to rules based on the dynamics of evolutionary games.
